The starting MSRP of the M11x was delivered courtesy of the company’s own website, but not in the most straightforward way. If you surf on over to the M11x microsite and view the source, you’ll notice the following blurb tucked within the code:

” The Alienware M11x, with over 6.5 hours of battery life and weighing under 4.5 lbs. will start at an amazing $799! Leave it to the folks at Alienware to enable truly mobile performance gaming at an affordable price.”

MSI dual-screen Laptop To Get Google Chrome OS

MSI Dual screen laptopMSI dual-screen concept laptop was unveiled at CES earlier this month. This dual screen laptop hold google chrome os.

In the same vein as the Apple iPad, it’s very much a touchscreen with e-reader functions. What’s more, it’s definitely going to ship this year and come loaded with Google Chrome OS.

MSI UK confirmed that it would see the light of day in some form this year. However, it looks like we’ll see this device in a number of different flavours.

MSI have been talking to LaptopMag in the US and have confirmed that the most likely OS for the twin-packing 10-inch screens will be Google Chrome OS. The dual-screen works on the principle that the top screen is a standard TFT while the bottom screen, which is touch-sensitive acts as the keyboard and input device using haptic feedback.

Alongside a Chrome OS version, we’re also likely to see the MSI dual-screen with Windows 7 helping to give this rather novel device a little more familiarity. With a battery life quoted around four to five hours, this device will very much be on a parr with most ultra-slim laptops of the same size.

Onkyo DX Dual Screen Netbook Details

Onkyo DX Dual Screen Netbook
The Onkyo DX is a re-branded version of the Kohjinsha DZ dual screen netbook. It provides high capacity processing. It looks like pretty. In current trend dual screen netbook is the latest one.

The Onkyo model has two high resolution, 1366 x 768 pixel displays, while the Kohjinsha version comes with two 1024 x 600 pixel displays.

Since the Dual Screen Onkyo DX Netbook made it’s first appearance I’ve been intrigued by the device. I use dual monitors at work and when I try to get anything done without them I feel a bit lost so the prospect of a small dual screen device is exciting.

The Onkyo DX features an AMD Neo MV-40 processor with an ATI Radeon 3200HD graphics that enables the netbook to handle HD video playback. You can use the screen either with a single display, or you can slide the second display out from behind the first and either clone or extend your desktop.

The Onkyo DX retails for $1099.

Onkyo Releases PineTrail C411 Netbooks

onkyo-netbook

Onkyo Japan  released the C411 series netbook. Onkyo latest netbook offers very similar to the Acer Aspire 532h. onkyo c411 netbook  allows digital TV tuner and a FM / AM radio.

Pretty interesting release since either option is pretty rare on a netbook. Outside of Dell and Kohjinsha (off the top of my head) I can’t recall anyone offering digital TV tuners on netbooks). Only thing not looking too hot is a 3-cell battery lasting about 3.3 hours.

The Onkyo C411 netbooks look pretty similarly to the Acer Aspire 532h, the two tuners on the netbooks seem unusual compared to what other netbooks have. But the downside is the C411 packs with a 3-cell battery that lasts only 3.3 hours.

The Onkyo C411 netbooks are packed with an Intel Atom N450 (1.66GHz) processor, a GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD, wireless b/g/n, 0.3 megapixel webcam, loaded with Windows 7 starter, PureScape for TV/radio tuning and it has a 10.1 inch glossy display with resolution of 1024×600.

This netbook equipped with  USB, Ethernet, SD card slot. It is very interested  for attaching to an external antenna to boost the TV/radio signals. This netbook available 1.1kg weights, price at 54,800 yen ($598).

Acer Aspire D250 –Android OS/Windows 7 Netbook

acer

The Acer has introduced D250 Netbook. This can run with Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM and a 250GB hard drive.

Connectivity comes in the form of an Ethernet socket and Wi-Fi b/g, with 3x USB 2.0 connections, VGA, headphone and mic sockets. A card reader sits in the edge so you can slot in an SD card, which will sit flush with the edge so you can leave it in all the time if that’s what you want to do.

It is believed that one can experience the best of the Android OS on a touch screen only but accessing it with a mouse and keyboard is one different and unique experience. By the virtue of 3G compatibility, memory card reader and USB slots, D250 offers you with number of connectivity options. (more…)
