Dell updates Alienware M15x and M17x laptops

Alienware M15x, M17x laptop are the gaming laptops. It provides many features.

Just like Sony updated their VAIO CW notebooks to work with the latest Intel Core i3 and i5 processors, Dell has done a similar move but the processors are better: i5 and i7.

Features are:

1. It provides 15,6.inch model M15x

2. 17-inch model M17x

3. i5-520M, or i5-540M, or i7-620M processor.

Not to mention the quad core processors i7-720QM, i7-829QM, and the i7-920XM.

The Dell Alienware M15x and M17x with Intel Core processors start at $1,200 and $1,800.

Intel launched the core i3, core i5 processing. The intel core i3, i5 are the processing models.

Origins was also used to demonstrate the graphics capabilities of the GPU , though the jittery frame rate suggested that sticking to Bejewelled might be a better idea without discrete graphics. Mia Hamm was brought out to do a bit of exercising and to provide us with an analogy for Intel’s built-in Turbo Boost tech, which is said to work as naturally and as smoothly as the human heart rate increasing when necessary.

Laptops based on the new mobile Intel Core i3 and i5 processors from Dell and Acer continue to roll into retailers like Best Buy at sub-$700 prices. But don’t expect Apple to offer deals like this on its upcoming MacBook Pro.

The mobile i5 and i3 offer a significant step up in performance. Tech Web site AnandTech said the i5 processor delivers “the single largest performance improvement we’ve seen from a new mobile processor in years.”

And retailers have been quick to haul out systems based on the freshly-minted chips. This week, Best Buy is offering a Dell deal for $649. Typically, laptops built around new Intel mainstream mobile processors are priced well above $700. (more…)

Dell and HP Core i5 Laptops Costs $649

Dell and HP introduced Intel Core i5 laptops . Fully loaded Core i5 laptops from Dell and Hewlett-Packard are available in the market at $649.

staples is selling a Dell 17-inch system with the Core i5 430M for $649. The Dell system is regularly $799. The $150 discount (which is “instant savings”–not a rebate) ends later this week, according to a sales representative who said prices will go up again at the close of business on Saturday.

Aspire AS5740 offers True 5.1-channel Surround Sound Output which is absent for AS7740. This is bit surprising since the AS7740 doesn’t have ATI’s Mobility Radeon HD 5000 series graphics monster.

Both laptops costs approximately $750 and has been available from January 17 in U.S.

Build and Design:

The Dell Studio 14 has a really cool look. The main distinguishing factor between the Inspiron and the Studio is the customizable top cover. With the Studio, you can either get a solid color or a groovy looking designer one for more money. Our red colored version had a smooth velvety feel.

Comparing it with mainstream 14-inch models out there, the dimensions of the Studio 14 are quite fair. At 2.4 kilos, it’s not exactly feather-weight. But its design is quite ergonomic which makes it easy to carry. Dell has done a commendable job with regards to its build quality. The laptop feels sturdy when held. Dell Adamo XPS Shipped

The highly anticipated Dell Adamo XPS is now available in the US market. Measuring 340mm x 272mm x 9.99mm and weighing 1.44Kg, the laptop features a 13.4-inch widescreen LCD display with a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD, and Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit version). Other specs include a couple of USB 2.0 ports, a headphone jack, a webcam, a Mini DisplayPort, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1. Its battery provides up to 5-hours and 17 minutes of operating time. Folks in the US can purchase the Dell Adamo XPS for $1,799.

Dell’s rugged convertible tablet, Latitude XT2 XFR with multitouch

Dell’s Latitude XT2 XFR is a newly announced 12.1-inch convertible tablet that comes equipped with a multi-touch display. The Latitude XT2 XFR is currently the smallest in the industry. The ruggedized body makes it best for harsh environment and the multi touch capability is definitely a plus, providing convenience letting the users to use various gestures and finger actions to operate it.

Dell Adamo XPS gets more pics, but launch date is still undecided

Dell Adamo XPS is claimed to be the world’s thinnest laptop, everyone has been waiting for to catch up with what specs and how actually the laptop looks like. It was said before that the launch date would be on October 22, to coincide with the Windows 7 launch date, but in fact Dell hasn’t yet confirmed the launch date.
Anyway, PCMag has got a few more pictures of the Dell Adamo XPS laptop, showing how the super thin laptop looks like with its lid open. And they’ve also laid hands on the slimmest laptop briefly with some positives : Very cool! Despite the super thinness that measures only about half an inch, it feels very solid with its aluminum construction. As what we’ve heard, brush your finger across the heat sensor on the lid, it automatically opens, wait for a click, the screen pops open.

Sadly, Dell has not yet determined the price, launch date and even the specs of the Adamo XPS, but they’ve confirmed that it’ll ship with Windows 7. Dell is currently kinda reserved to talk more about the laptop’s details.

The Dell Adamo XPS has taken everyone by surprise with its super slim body that measures only 1cm in thickness. Everyone shall start guessing what could have been stuffed within the 1cm thick case. But till now, we have only very little information about this super thin laptop. But if you’re so curious about this super thin laptop, Business Week has got a bit more information here. According to them, the ultra thin laptop is going to cost $2,000 and it’ll come with a unique feature that a heat-sensing strip that runs along the lip of the lid. When gliding your finger across the strip, it’ll then grow white and automatically open the aluminum lid. Anyway, the laptop is slated to be released on October 22, which is also the Windows 7 launch day.

Dell Unleashes Vostro 1014, 1015 And 1088 Notebooks

Dell has introduced three new family members to its Dell Vostro line-up. The family includes: 14.1-inch Vostro 1014, 15.6-inch Vostro 1015 and 14.1-inch Vostro 1088. These entry-level notebooks sport an Intel Core 2 processor, a 2MP webcam, a DVD burner, up to 4GB RAM, up to 320GB hard drive, a 5-in-1 card reader and WiFi connectivity. The 1014 and 1015 only come with an integrated graphics card, while the 1088 offers a much powerful graphics solution, with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330.

Pricing is yet to be fully detailed, but starts at £255. All are fully customizable, so you can pay as much or as little as you want to, for more or fewer features. (more…)

Dell Introduces Nickelodeon Themed Netbook

Dell has introduced its first Nickelodeon themed netbook which is aimed specially at kids. This particular netbook can be personalized with characters from TV shows including SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly, and features links to Nickelodeon online games and video content.
