Sunnyvale, California-based CPU and GPU manufactures together introduced 890GX chip set in the beginning of March. The company officially announced the details of 890GX chipset.
The main reason for officially launched now is, it supports the upcoming AMD Phenom II X6 six-core CPU. And the another reason is, 890GX is integrated with ATI Radeon HD 4290 graphics core. It has a clock speed of 700MHz, 40 stream processors and UVD 2.0 support.
890GX contains 1080p Blu-ray format, including dual-screen picture-in-picture and video encoded in MPEG2, VC-1 and h.264 formats. It supports next generation PCI also. AMD says, new motherboards is based on this core-logic and also contain USB 3.0 connectivity. But we need to wait some time to buy this product. Stay tune for more details.
