OWC Mercury Portable Drive Provides 1TB of Storage

What will you do with such a huge storage ? 1TB Portable Drive for the Daily data ? No matter what, i truly believe that technology now is going to make me think of the future where TB’s of data would be carried on a single chip.

Getting back to our OWC Portable drive, The OWC provides the Data storage of 1TB and is 2.5-inch in size and it has got a body with the aluminum finishing. The OWC portable drive would not carry a fan and supports the eSATA, USB 2.0.

Cisco’s new router would Focus on Video Surfing

cisco new routerCisco has got a new router to drop into the market. The New Cisco Router has been named as the CRS-3 Carrier Routing System. As per the graph which is constantly shooting up for the Video surfing, this Cisco router will focus on the Video Traffic and make us feel good with the Video surfing. The research shows that on a daily basis the video traffics increasing and people are mostly focused on what they see than what they listen.

The Cisco is focused on the technology that claims will “serve as the foundation of the next generation Internet” . Cisco also stated that their new routers would provide at least a dozen times the traffic capacity of its older router named Cisco CRS-1.

The Cisco router would hopefully increase the performance of surfing and let us get geared for the Gen – Next router that focuses on the Video traffic. Stay tuned for more updates, while we get back with more such interesting technology News.

HP Slate Shows off its Flash

hp slateAfter the iPad Commercial that was released at Oscars, here comes the HP slate commercial which shows off the tablet running Adobe’s Flash for sites like Hulu as well as AIR for out-of-browser apps like Pandora radio. Yes the HP slate does flaunt its Flash included in it which the iPad does not carry with it.

HP might have collected all the drawbacks of IPad and included it in its Slate and proving itself as a versatile tablet which carries all the features. Specially the features which are not included in iPad, are included in the HP commercial to prove that its new slate is much more advanced than of iPad.

But when it comes to the HP slate in technical part, it has got cool features like the web browser that has been edited a bit and also the large icons also providing a clear touch without confusion. The touchscreen keyboard is however smaller when compared to iPad. It is expected to release in early April this year. Stay tuned for more updates.

Is ACER Planning for frame less laptops ?

Acer laptopsAnother Future Laptop concept has come from ACER and looks like it is is working on it. We are taking about the Frame less Laptop with touchscreen keyboard. Earlier we posted on the future laptop that can be folded and hanged around your shoulder and this is the next futuristic laptop ACER is working on.

The ACER is working on it and would get this after certain period of time into the market. We think that these laptops would become another milestone in terms of the developing technology. The craziest thing would be the touchscreen keyboard which earlier was expressed by other brands, but ACER seems to be working on it and looks like in the next couple of years we might get these kind of laptops for buying.

For buying these kind of laptops it would lead you to shell out lots of money and get them at home and handle them with care. But we think that for the Gen Next, handling these laptops with care and the trend then would not go hand in hand. ACER would however take care of these limitations. Stay tuned for more updates.

Steve jobs said “We’re excited for customers to get their hands on this magical and revolutionary product and connect with their apps and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before.”

All you got to do now is get armed with your cash or credit cards, so that you get the best product from Apple. There have been many controversies till date but The Apple iPad still doesn’t care about them and goes straight with its launch. The pre-orders of the Apple iPad will start from March 12th.

Latest Flat and Shiny Keyboard from Minebea

Kazuo Kawasaki and Minebea Co Ltd are combinely developed a flat surface keyboard. It is a shiny device. This is named as ‘Cool Leaf’.

It is totally covered with acrylic board, the surface is flat and there is no gap between the parts. It is designed with a new material which looks like a mirror, touch pannel and light plate type backlight are also stacked.

The flat surface keyboard helps in preventing the dust, we can also clean easily. When power is off, if we touch the surface then it will turn on power and displays letters, numbers.

Minebea is also planning to expand their services in different areas like residential devices, medical devices etc. The price details will be announced shortly.

OCZ’s New Z-Drive

For the highest data transfering, PCI Express is one of the best drive to use. OCZ already introduced lot of devices as part of its Z-Drive line. Now OCZ introduced new z-drive M84 and the P88.

PCI Express solid state drives are used to increase read and write speeds. It has a large bandwidth, which is enough for flash memory. The main reason behind introducing Z-Drive M84 and Z-Drive P88 is to demolishing the storage-space gap that exists between Flash-based and hard disk drives.

Features:
M84 comes in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB forms.
P88 contains of 512GB, 1TB and even 2TB. It can read up to 870MB/s and has a maximum writing speed of 780MB/s.
Both units are multi-level based cells and flash memory chips and can operate on PCI Express x8 interface. But they are not revealed the price details yet.

AMD Officially Launched 890GX Chipset

Sunnyvale, California-based CPU and GPU manufactures together introduced 890GX chip set in the beginning of March. The company officially announced the details of 890GX chipset.

The main reason for officially launched now is, it supports the upcoming AMD Phenom II X6 six-core CPU. And the another reason is, 890GX is integrated with ATI Radeon HD 4290 graphics core. It has a clock speed of 700MHz, 40 stream processors and UVD 2.0 support.

890GX contains 1080p Blu-ray format, including dual-screen picture-in-picture and video encoded in MPEG2, VC-1 and h.264 formats. It supports next generation PCI also. AMD says, new motherboards is based on this core-logic and also contain USB 3.0 connectivity. But we need to wait some time to buy this product. Stay tune for more details.
