Gigabyte strikes with its new pair of Ultrabooks – U2442N & U2442V as strong rival to Apple’s MacBook Air.
Well, the new U2442N & U2442V Ultrabooks are powered by Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, where in the two models feature a 14-inch 1600 x 900 LED-backlit displays and is armed with NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 2GB graphics, together with either SSD or HDD storage.
According to the official reports form the Company, the Gigabyte U2442N is strong amount the two, with of Core i5 or i7 standard processors choice. On the other hand, the Gigabyte U2442V Ultrabook uses ULV (ultra-low voltage) versions of the Intel chips, for enhanced battery life, however the Company isn’t confirming precisely how long the each Ultrabook will last on a single charge.
Furthermore, the U2442N & U2442V Ultrabooks is equipped with dual-antenna WiFi, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and optionally a Thunderbolt port. The ultrabooks weigh under 1.4kg and measure between 18.5 and 20.5mm thick. While, the keyboard is backlit for easier low-light typing and the storage is either SSD or up to 750GB HDD.
Unfortunately, at the moment the precise release date and price tag has not been revealed by the Gigabyte for U2442N & U2442V Ultrabooks. However, it is expected that the new ultrabooks would strike the market in the second quarter of 2012 in US.
