Raspberry Pi computer, which has recently strike the web earlier this year, now gets closer to a release date. $25 for Linux on an ARM processor toting computer with HDMI out, USB, audio and video out, and an SD Card slot, which is really amazing!
According to the official reports from the Company, Raspberry Pi computer will be available in January 2012 with merely small software and hardware testing necessary before that release date.
The Company notes that there will be a couple of configurations for this Computer accessible at the launch, the larger having more RAM and an Ethernet port, and this one is price tagged at $35 USD, whereas the $25 version has half the RAM (128MB) and no Ethernet port, and one more board has been revealed beside these two as a bit of a bonus, the Gertboard.
Gertboard is an expansion board, which can be added to either model Raspberry Pi and is capable to perform all types of stuff like drive motors, run sensors, flash LEDs on and off, and etc stuff.
David Braben, one of the creators of Raspberry Pi is the game developer and the one who essentially dreamed up the project in the initial place. In fact, this is the original place we have seen such an inexpensive basic PC that looks decent enough to really be worth having a play with.
