Honda team has just now unveiled that they will strike the market with a new Acura concept at 2012 Detroit Auto Show. Well, the original NSX, discontinued in 2005, was a midengine two-seater sports car and the now the new one is the re-start of that line.
At the same time, Honda did not revealed any information on the new NSX concept, simple the Company says that it would show the styling direction for the next generation of Acura’s super sports car. Well, the picture you are seeing is not the new model it is the original NSX shown in 2004 Detroit Auto Show. The new model will be likely getting an all-wheel-drive system, this of course if Honda decides to go beyond what the Sources claim as a possible mere styling exercise.
On the other hand, the gossips regarding the car note that this all-wheel-drive system will be similar to what has lately been announced for Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology, complete with a direct injection 3.5-liter V-6 as a key power unit, and two 20 kilowatt electric motors for torque vectoring.
Moreover the car is equipped with a main drive motor with a 7 speed dual clutch automated manual transmission also. Honda has as well asserted that they will be brining an additional concept vision to the show in the Acura ILX, which is an entry level premium car.
According to the reports, the ILX will be the initial Acura hybrid, and will play well next to the NSX. Furthermore there will also be a 2013 Honda Accord Coupe concept in addition to a 2013 Acura RDX, both the cars are expected to show in 2012 Detroit event.
