Quite interestingly, Samsung has quite the firestorm started here around what we are expecting will be the hero device for Android Ice Cream Sandwich, each news bit adding to what must soon be a renowned device certainly. On the other hand, It’s not hard to see why this device would grab such a huge interest as each Google hero device (the Nexus S being the last) have been not only extremely popular devices, they have turned out to be fairly well made and long-lasting devices also.
Do note that Google to create a hero device is for them to work with a manufacturer to create an Android vision, vanilla in flavor. Vanilla, in the Android world, indicates that its OS is made completely by Google without any extra modifications by the manufacturer.
Furthermore the Sources familiar with the matter even claims that this device will be landing on Verizon, as this info was confirmed when a roadmap of Samsung has leaked with the release date for the device and also about Ice Cream Sandwich.
