Toshiba creates more and more space with a one terabyte laptop hard drive market with the company’s first 2.5-inch 1TB hard disk, the MQ01ABD, The drive has got the industry-standard 9.5mm height and uses two 500GB platters.
Until now the Laptop storage size was into a limited edition, because of the hard drives with huge capacities were too big to fit into most laptop storage bays, but Samsung and Western Digital recently introduced 1TB hard drives for laptops that are 9.5mm tall, and basically these hard disks are laptop friendly, and now followed by Toshiba offering its own model.
Toshiba announced along with the MQ01ABD, company has moved up with the quantity of data stored per square inch by over 37 per cent compared with prior 2.5-inch models, and the MQ01ABD has a 5,400rpm rotational speed, 12ms seek time and a SATA2 interface. It’s also available in smaller 250, 320, 500 and 750GB capacity versions.
Something like this in portable version it’s great that you can punch in all the stuff you require games and media on your laptop with one terabyte of space.
The pricing has not been decided yet, it will be hitting the road somewhere in this month.
