Smartphone giant HTC is on strong ambitious path targeting to sell 13.5 million Smartphones in the third quarter of 2011.
The Taiwanese manufacturer has sold 12.2 million handsets in the second quarter of 2011 and now in row to hit more higher in the upcoming quarter, and that’s a great number which HTC is planning to hit, the firm would be on road to surpass the former market leader, Nokia, in 2012 and would almost double the number of devices sold in the same quarter last year.
However looking at the average cost of the handsets seem stable from last quarter by quarter, the prediction of the revenues in Q3 2011, is projected to bring in $4.75 billion, which is up 10 percent and 80 percent on the same timeframe, however in the last quarter, HTC sold 4.5 million lesser smartphones comparing to Nokia with just under 10 million handsets sold in the first quarter of the year according to its latest quarterly earnings chart.
Unlike Nokia, HTC’s revenues are awesomely resulting from smartphones with Windows Phone, account for roughly 30 per cent of business in the US.
