There are pretty happy faces around with the latest NFC-Enabled Wallet Service showcased by Google, Google Wallet app that finally brings together all the parts necessary for the search giant to build a mobile e-commerce domain, which will be capable of rivaling its search counterpart in terms of revenue.
However this service will be a luxury method for the users to just tap and pay and save using their mobile handset and near field communication (NFC), Google hasn’t gone wide open yet the new service is in the starting and testing stages, but it is all set for a go green.
Google has been working with the merchants for tagging over the payment process and this will give the ability for merchants to present vouchers, loyalty schemes and lot other innovative marketing services to their customers, from boarding passes to electronic keys, ID, gift cards and more, at this moment the list getting into the virtual wallet service are financial powerhouses Citigroup, MasterCard and First Data as well as US mobile phone network Sprint.
Not just credit and debit cards, Google will also pitch in for the prepaid card which it says can be used to fund most payment cards worldwide, and the service will be working with the MasterCard’s PayPass network of more than 311,000 merchants globally and just under 4000 in London alone (including Cafe Nero, Subway and McDonald’s).
