NEC Corporation today announced the launch of the world’s first device Contactless Hybrid Finger Scanner that get your hands on fingerprint and finger vein data without any contact.
According to the reports from NEC, both the fingerprint and finger vein information of HS100-10 makes it mostly hard for charlatan to deceive the authentication system with it and in addition, the system’s contactless sensor is strong against the uniqueness of fingers that are exceptionally dry or moist with the outstanding accuracy, which is in fact difficult for conventional contact-based fingerprint authentication devices.
Moreover, the HS100-10 is designed user friendly as the NEC HS100-10 has USB interface and with the help of this, users will be able to connect with a PC for in order to logon to its operating system or unlock its screensaver.
The new HS100-10 Contactless Hybrid Finger Scanner is also well-matched with key access management software, which includes Novell’s Secure Login and IBM’s “Tivoli Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On.
Overall, the HS100-10 is featured with 600 dpi sensor that uses NEC Original Fusion Method for fingerprint scanning. Finally, NEC HS100-10 Contactless Hybrid Finger Scanner is scheduled to be released worldwide in May 2011.
